1966 Rolex 5513 Stainless Steel Submariner 9315 - Egg Shell Patina

Available for sale is a stainless steel 1966 Rolex 5513 submariner. It is an iconic design The serial number on this watch begins with 133xxxx dating this watch to late 1966.

Case: 40 mm stainless steel case showing signs of previous wear. There are no major distractions though we decided to keep it unpolished to allow the buyer to decide if they would like to polish or not.

Bezel: Oblack inner bezel with light signs of previous wear. The stainless other ring is crisp given its age

Dial/Hands: Matte feet first dial with egg shell patina. I believe this dial is an early Rolex service dial as in 1966 this watch would have been fitted with a glossy gilt dial. These dials did not age well and most replaced them within the first few decades of purchase.The lume markers are turning a nice egg shell shade which is very eye pleasing. Hands are as attractive and have a light egg shell patina beginning to form

Movement: Rolex 1520 automatic movement. It has been serviced by our watchmaker and is currently running +8 seconds per day.

Caseback: Dating III.66 which dates from the third quarter of 1965.

Bracelet/Strap: Stainless Steel 9315 bracelet showing signs of previous wear. The buckle is marked S W2 which means it is a replacement buckle. There are no major distractions, it his stretch as seen in the photos and will fit an 9 inch wrist

Crystal: Original acrylic with a several marks, we decided to keep it original.

Accessories: This watch comes watch only. It does not come with original box or papers
