Thinking about getting first rolex
Hello everyone Ive been thinking about buying a rolex for over a year. 2 days ago I came across a flawless 2 tone date just with the jubilee bracelet. I was kind of concerned that it was from the early 80s also the jeweler said the added the mother of pearl dial with diamonds and saphire crystal. I'm not to concerned about ad not working on the watch since I think the watch looks great. The jeweler is looking for 2400 and has been established since 1989. And for the last 10 years at the sawgrass mall in south Florida. The largest indoor mall in Florida. Is this a good watch for my first rolex. Any thing I should be concerned about. Thanks for anyhelp.

When was the watch last serviced? If its been more than five years you can look to drop another $350+ for an OCA by a qualified watchmaker. Rolex won't service a watch with after market parts, well actually they will, but they will replace the after market parts with the original Rolex parts (and keep the after market stuff) and that can quickly add up to over $1000.
