gift for dad

if you were a 70y old man, which one would you prefer and why?
But if you're not 70y, you're also welcome to provide your opinion

Roman, fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet.

Because I think it looks better.

I think the most important thing to consider is which would be easiest for him to read.

I gifted this one for my dad’s 70th, it hasn’t left his wrist in the last 4 years.

i'd probably go with sticks + lume (helpful to read time in the dark)
must be on jubilee, however.

I am hovering over this, I really don’t know which one I would take. I had the datejust blue fluted and jubilee. The oyster with the PCLs are calling my name and I might like it better with the smooth bezel. The debate between the dial is a tough one. I like the darker blue I think better, but the Roman’s look amazing on this watch.

I agree with ibr123. This configuration is the one to get for your dad. The jubilee gives this still sporty watch a little more pop and elegance.

I don't think that age has anything to do with it.

Sticks. Fluted. Nothing bad about the Roman numerals, but even at my age (41), the lume matters to me for visibility. Awesome gift regardless!

Apparently I'm 70...because I have this one:

I'd like the sunburst blue with the batons over the azzurro blue with the roman dial

Hard to say as it depends on your dads preference for a bright blue or darker blue dial. Both are beautiful and what a gift!

At 70, he may even prefer a 36mm…depending on his eyesight and wrist size.

A 36mm DJ wears like a dream on a wrist under 7.25’’ as long as you don’t need the larger dial for sight reasons.

Sticks are easier to read in more lighting conditions. I vote sticks.

Roman over stick because it's easier to read.

Age has nothing to do with it, IMO.

Anyway, I would take the darker blue dial of the batons. But I would also want the bezel to be fluted. At 70, a little sparkle is a good thing.
