Falcon's Eye Trade advice

Would you trade a white gold blue face Daytona for a YM 42 Falcon's Eye? The considerations are:

1. Have a white gold Daytona on oyster flex, would the YM be redundant?

2. The blue Daytona may be discontinued this year, may be trading it prematurely.

3. The Falcon is arguably more rare.

4. Full gold bracelet has more presence (hefty), however is not a daily beater as the oyster flex.

5. Falcon is a larger watch.

Thanks for any input / insights!

I absolutely love the WG blue dial Daytona and while the YM 42 is great, I would pass.

I'm not a huge fan of that Daytona configuration and I still wouldn't do that trade.

Something about the Falcon Eye dial looks unfinished to me, not a fan. I think you'd be taking a step backwards.

Thats a tough one. I have a blue dial daytona and a YM42 regular dial. The YM is my daily since its so legible and practical with the OF.. but like you said the heft of the PM bracelet and the pop of the blue dial... tough one

i wouldnt, especially as you have a better OF atm. I cant see how trading a blue daytona for a YM can ever be a win. Falcon eye is probably going to be rare for foreseeable future but the demand is also way lower, even with the rarity i cant see it being a hot item.

If it were me I'd rather trade the oyster flex and keep the full gold on bracelet paired with the Faclon eye if it sings to you the Oyster have more similarity than the Blue dial daytona.
The best part is once the blue dial is discontinued you'll have a much more interesting combo as well.

In the same boat. Googled it and it led me to the Rolex site. Now that I know what it is, I would not make that trade.

I have YM42 regular black dial, WG Daytona on OF and GMT WG blue dial. I love the OF for daily wear and YM42 is may favorite daily. GMT WG has lots of heft but doesn't get as much wrist time. I haven't seen falcon's eye in person so hard to say whether it would appeal, personally like the idea of unusual dials like the meteorite so falcons eye could fall into that category for sure but would have to see it and love it to do a trade.

Have you been offered a Falcon Eye? I'm (apparently) #1 on my Ad's list but still no sign

Hell to the no. Hold on to that WG Daytona. I wish I could have 2 PM pieces...that Daytona would be #2.

Gold can easily be a daily. I personally dislike oysterflex once I bought one. They look nice though. I would not do that trade (only since you asked).

I'm assuming you're talking about pictures right? You realize it's a 3D stone dial that changes and is very beautiful.

The falcon eye dial is not a pretty dial to me. It mostly looks scratched up. I've handled one immediately after the release and I passed on it, I swear I thought it had a scratched dial. And this is coming from someone who loves unique dial. I'd pass.

I would take whatever looks better. There are good cases for value proposition from both.

I tend to love oysterflex.

Do not make that trade. That Daytona is way more special. You will regret that trade.

I'm a YM fan and I'm not crazy about the Daytona. However, I've yet to see a picture of a good looking Falcon's dial, let alone seeing one IRL. Also, I prefer a full PM experience with a proper bracelet. Pass.

One of the main considerations of this trade would be the details of Falcon eye dial that you are getting , a dial that you like as every piece is unique. I am fortunate to get one I like and it's easily one of my favourite . Some of the pics under different lighting conditions. ) 20230201_100904.jpg20230119_143438.jpgIMG_20221015_142016.jpg
