Got offered a 126610LV out of the blue

I haven’t talked to or walked into my AD since before COVID. About 4 years ago I mentioned to him I wanted a Hulk but all he could find for me was a standard (black) Sub with date - which I turned down. Well on Monday he texts me out of the blue saying he “found” a green bezel sub and did I want him to snag it for me. I was out of town so didn’t answer his txt. On Wednesday he texted me again saying he got the sub and to let him know if I wanted it.

Kind of strange him contacting me like that after all those years! Especially since I turned him down on a sub four years ago and that was the last time we spoke. What’s going on? Is the LV not popular? Are ADs finally starting to have trouble selling Rolexes? Frankly I had given up on the brand since it has become so frustrating. I’m not a big whale or anything although I did buy my wife a TT DJ 31 with diamond bezel from him five years ago.

The only other thing I can think of is that this store is hard to shop in since the pandemic - they still have a policy of a limited number of people in the store, reservation required ahead of time, blah blah blah. That’s why I stopped going in and chatting up my AD.

Any thoughts?

-Dan

The LV is a great sub and still commands a premium to black. Buy it if you like it. I wear mine often and don't bore of it quickly like I did the black.

The AD texted twice though? My god that's bad news for demand

He uh, did you just try to call back? I thought I heard my phone. Anyway, call when you can -AD

Hey, I've been having some phone issues and wasn't sure if you got my text. What do you think about the LV? Let me know -AD

SubLV is very popular and commands a premium online. 12 SubLV to me is the best current Rolex sports watch behind the SS Daytona, so yes.

You wanted a Hulk 4 years ago. Do you like the new Kermit? If so, snatch it while you're given the chance.

I love the LV! I'd consider yourself lucky if you like the watch. Many here wait a long time for that one.

Great watch. Buy it, if you like it. But it’s true that these are now fairly easy to get and the premium grows smaller every day.

Wow - you must be a Very Good Customer! Of course buy it if you want it. Or even if you don't want it, easy flip profit on that Hype model.

If you want the watch you should buy it and thank them for the opportunity. If you don’t want the watch you should respond, decline and thank them for the opportunity.

It’s a great watch. Love mine. Cool your AD remembered it all. No theories or anything other than a decent sales rep for remembering through it all. If you like it get it

It does seem like he is struggling to move it, so going down the "list".

Nonetheless, it is a great watch. If you like it then get it.

I have a very hard time thinking they can't sell an LV. It does seem very strange tho.

Interesting, thanks for sharing this info. I assume the SA went deep into his “list” before calling you as you have not been in or called recently. Hopefully a sign of the times for the rest of us waiting for an LV!

Just picked a LV up today. There’s some weight to it and it is just beautiful. I think it’s my favorite so far.

It you like it, get it. You won’t have regrets.
