The azzuro grabs your attention a bit more, but in person the black is so nice and classy. I think black makes the PCLs stand out a bit more.

I love the azurro with romans. It’s gorgeous in person. I wish the azurro was used on a stainless sports model.

The Azzuro is the best blue color Rolex has on a dial, IMO.

This (although it’s a close second to mint green for me)

Why not take the blue with stick dial? To be honest I have not seen Azzurro and dark blue side by side to compare, but they are different.

I like the bluesy only in the dark, in the light it is too neon light blue for me.

I prefer the black sticks. Just the more classic look for the Datejust.

I have the azzurro DJ41. I love it. The color changes in the light and the Roman numerals dress it up a bit.

I was so crazy about Azzuro until saw it in the shop and asked to try on. It was just wrong combination having Roman numeral on Super nice blue dial. If Azzuro dial could paired with stick would be the best datejust ever!!

I had the Azzuro once upon a time, but I switched it for the blue stick dial, much preferred that.

My father has the Azzuro blue dial with a smooth bezel and jubilee bracelet. I feel if you are going for a more dressy version of the DJ get a roman dial. However, I should note there isn't any lume which may be a negative for you.

The shade Azzuro blue is different than the blue dial DJ. The blue dial is of darker shade and in low light, it may show closer to a black dial.

I have the azuuro blue at it is super cool. It changes shades in different lights and in some light you do get dark nave blue (almost black) look on part of the dial.

I also really like that in some lights you see the dial as plain but in some you will see the sun brushed effect.

It is a matter of choice but I the roman numeral go very well with the dial.

One con is that in some lights it is hard to see the time and there is no lume.

I don't like Roman numerals on watches, so batons (on any colour dial) would be my preference.

If it’s my first watch, I’ll go with a classic black with sticks. Then the blue dial.

And the black stick isn't sunburst, it's gloss. I think the slate is the sunburst.

Azurro by a mile. Black dial is the opposite of blingy. I don't think the Azurro is very blingy either but it definitely pops. It's a nice dial. I think it looks best with a smooth bezel on jubilee.

The DJ41 black stick that I had, pictured above, was gloss, no sunburst at all.
