Thoughts on 226658, towards a 126655 (Pave) and 126719BLRO (Navy)

Was wondering what are you’re thoughts on these 3 watches. Currently have the 42MM yellow gold oysterflex. Still feels it wears little large, would like to change into the 40mm” 126719 Pepsi Navy dial or 126655 Pave dial.. which do you think looks the best , most comfortable and will hold the best value overtime ??

Also recently purchased the 42mm from AD, was going to wait a bit to show the AD a few more times before a next call in..

In terms of the YM, do the new style warranty card just have the model name and no abbreviations or details for diamonds ? Cant anyone just purchase a regular 126655 and add a custom Diamond dial and list it for Pave price ?

Example: the old papers for the 126655 would say the 126655PAVE in print

I prefer the GMT but to each their own. I wish I could help with your pave dial / paperwork question but I don’t know. Hopefully one of our more knowledgeable members can chime in on that part.

Tough one here to say the last.

A GMT is my favourite complication. But there is something deeply special about a gem set Rolex.

Hard to say where I lean. Probably would go gem set.

It depends, those are two very different watches. Is it your only luxury watch in your collection? If so, GMT. Otherwise it depends on your collection.

GMT will have more universal and timeless appeal. The others are cool but not as mainstream of a design.

The WG BLRO would be my choice. Stealth elegance.

Regarding the YM, best way to confirm if the dial is original is by looking at the white hang tag. If you see the following reference: “126655-0005” then the dial is original. The new warranty cards don’t have anything further besides the basic reference (not full/hyphenated) and purchase date.

The GMT is more my style. It will also be easier to sell one day if you have to.

I know that’s not quite what you asked.

IMHO the 42 looks great but not for everyone. Diamonds great on some luxury timepieces ...

Therefore another vote for the GMT

Hold value over time, I would say the GMT.

I can't speak for the cards in what they say. But an aftermarket pave dial is an aftermarket dial. It wouldn't demand the price of an original in the watch.

For everyday wear, I'm sure the masses would go with the GMT. But since I have the black/blue and ss Pepsi. I'll go the other direction and say the 42mm Yachtmaster all the way. It's actually even on my next go to. I'm even jealous that you have it.

Good luck and enjoy.

Go all the way for WG GMT with meteorite dial, the market price came down a lot already.

Out of these 3, I like the YM without the diamonds the best.
