Advice on getting valuation of discontinued watches (UK)
Hi everyone. A couple of my watches are now discontinued models from Rolex. I've never had to bother with valuations before as I have assumed my insurance covers them for replacement new price (I purchased them new from AD and kept all receipts and paperwork etc.).
Now these are discontinued, I guess I will have to insure for the market price. Does anyone in the UK know a good reputable company that values Rolex watches? I see one or two AD chains are asking at least £100 per piece. This seems a lot to me, as it's pretty easy to look at a watch and its box&papers, do a chrono24 search and come up with a price. In fact if you approach a non-AD watch dealer they may offer you a price to buy the watch (which would cost me nothing), but I guess insurance companies don't accept that, and want a certified valuation etc. Thanks for any tips. |

Depends where you’re based but I get mine all valued at HNW Elite in Beaconsfield (Bucks).
Reputable place with accurate valuations. |

I went with HODINKEE for insurance and used Chrono24 to verify current pricing.
