Bluesy or WG Sub ?

I recently sold my business and want to buy a special watch.

I’m trying to decide between a bluesy and a WG sub.

Full yellow gold is a bit too much for me, hence the desire for WG.
I also love the bluesy but the only thing niggling away at me is, does it stand out too much ?

I love understated and quite happy at the thought of wearing WG, with only me knowing !

Any opinions welcome

I’m in no rush and will wait until my AD can get me one.

Congratulations on selling your business. WG sub is my favourite watch, Rolex or otherwise. Beautiful colour and still comparatively subtle. That would be my choice if I was ever in your position

That’s a tough choice. I’d probably go WG.

Definitely WG Sub. Stealth cool. Great wrist presence with serious heft on the wrist.

You get this watch for yourself, to know you're wearing something special, not to impress others.

Congrats and definitely WG for me. You can get one under retail right now from multiple places.

Congratulations on your sale.

Get a SS Sub for everyday, but for your celebratory piece, I recommend a WG Daytona.

I think you actually know your own answer. You clearly want the WG. Why the hesitation?

Congratulations with selling the business. Buy the WG Sub, you won’t be disappointed!

If you love understated, the Bluesy is not for you, unless you're in the mood for something a bit more showy every now and then.

Most of my watches are inconspicuous but I really wanted the cheerful TT blue Sub to spice up the collection a bit, bearing in mind it's not an everyday watch for me. It feels so amazing when the time is right to wear it.

The YG blue Sub is stunning in a showy kind of way and it would be my personal choice. I find the WG Sub a little bit underwhelming. If you love that look though, go for it. Stealth wealth has its appeal.

The heft of the WG will be a constant reminder of the success you earned in building a business with blood, sweat, and tears.

The WG Sub Date is special and in the metal it could not be mistaken for SS. I like the 11 series version with the blue dial. I had the opportunity to buy one at MSRP but I cannot justify that kind of spend in a watch. It was hard to resist though.

I’d go with the WG sub from what you’re saying. And this is coming from a proud blusey owner. It’s one of the heaviest hitters on Rolex roster, that WG sub.

Based on what you’ve said … White Gold Submariner.

And that coming from someone who considers my “Bluesy” my favorite watch in my collection.

Thanks for all your comments, really appreciate it.

As a few have guessed, I’ve always hankered after the WG sub but couldn’t justify the cost. Whilst I’ve always liked the bluesy.

Decision is made, WG, well it already was, wasn’t it !!

WG Sub is special. You might never see one in the wild. TT subs are abundant. Not even close.

A friend of mine has this and I tried it, it’s beautiful. But a bit too wow for me to wear.

Definitely the WG Sub between those two. However have you considered the 126719BLRO?
