Seamaster 300m bracelet

Really want to buy this watch but the bracelet just screams 90's Tag to mean. Not sure why they chose this style but it may be time for a refresh. I know there are rubber straps and after markets but if i'm buying a watch for over $4-5 grand i want originals.

Yup, it's a curse many of us 300M members have faced. Hate the bracelet. Ugly and the clasp is the size of a Buick. I wish I had an answer as I'm going through the same challenge. I'm thinking of seeing if I can get one of the new flat Aqua Terra bracelets but it's seriously expensive. I bought mine on the rubber and it's fine but I do enjoy a metal bracelet. I feel your pain.

I have owned a few of these over the past couple of years, white dial on rubber, blue dial on bracelet, and black on bracelet and rubber. In the end I settled on the black dial on the OEM rubber strap with the Omega folding clasp and it is my favorite piece. The rubber strap wears much lighter and more comfortable that the heavy bracelet with the Buick clasp.

The bracelet does not bother me, but I would definitely like to see a revamp of it. Maybe tapered with a slimmer clasp. The watch itself is one of the best though. Get it on the rubber. I have had all the colors minus the blue and I think I am looking at a blue one on rubber as my next purchase. Also, you can try the mesh Omega bracelet as well. Looks great on the SMP, but make sure you try one first because they fit a little weird.

I get it with the bracelet. I have just learned to enjoy the bracelet and accept it as a cool alternative to the rubber strap and so many good aftermarket straps. Don't let the bracelet slow you down on a great watch.

Rubber with deployment clasp is the much better configuration anyway, I would pass on the bracelet.

Purchase on bracelet because the bracelet is way more expensive than purchasing the rubber with tang or deployant. Bracelet balances the watch well. If you're looking to save some weight go with the watch on rubber as its about 105 grams, with bracelet and all links its 199 grams. Almost purchased on rubber this past Saturday, but went with bracelet and great decision. Will stop by the OB soon to purchase the rubber strap. Like others said, don't let this stop you from purchasing a great watch. I waited too long!

I personally love the bracelet. Actually much more than the bracelet on my Rolex Submariner. It is built like a tank, has great wrist presence, and the clasp is smaller and more comfortable than a Glidelock.

I have never understood all the complaints regarding the 300M bracelet. But there is an easy solution, just buy it on the rubber. I own both and the rubber is great as well.

I understand which is why I bought mine on rubber. Good news is the factory rubber looks and feels great and you can purchase the strap and swap to it.

It's unfortunately a non-starter for me, on what is otherwise a beautiful watch. If it was comfortable I could get along, but it's too thick with the lack of taper.

Picked up a moonwatch instead...

I like the bracelet. It's high quality, comfortable, and pretty unique. Though its genesis is the 90s I don't think it's particularly dated. It is pretty busy though and somewhat flashy. For that reason and due to the lack of taper, I kind of prefer the Rolex Oyster bracelet.

I agree, the bracelet screams 90s, is a tank, and needs a taper like nobody's business. With that said, it is high quality and very comfortable, but not Rolex comfortable.

So I just purchased an Omega OEM Aqua Terra rubber strap which fits the SMP 300. Only problem is that the rubber stops the bezel from turning, but for me that's not a problem as I don't dive and never time anything with my watch, have an iPhone/Apple Watch for that :)

Two different rubber strap options for someone bored of the bracelet

SEAMASTER CO-AXIAL CHRONOMETER 41 MM Reference: 212.30.41.20.01.003 on an Omega OEM Aqua Terra rubber strap with the deployant buckle and the newer Omega SMP 300’s OEM rubber strap with pin buckle. I love the feel of the latter one a lot but I wanted to tell that this strap that is originally meant for a 42mm wacth fits like a glove on this older 41mm infamous “non-wave” dialed SMP.

Buy on the rubber and then purchase a mesh bracelet. Job done and you then own the best dive watch on the market at this price point.

My son in law has just bought the 300M 75th Aniversary in Summer Blue. Love the watch but i wish they had put the bracelet from the 300 on it. The fact its not tapered put me off.

As others have said, buy the watch on the rubber strap and then order the king mesh bracelet from Strapify for 1/8th price of the OEM mesh option.

This is must on this watch. It turns the watch into a sport watch versus the same old bracelet we've all seen since we were kids. The bracelet that comes with the watch belongs on my father's watch.

I have 3 Seamasters and love them as much as Rolexes.
I am not sure why everyone is complaining about the bracelets!!!!
They are as comfortable as Rolex bracelets.

I have the Speedy 3861 (SS). Whatever team designed that bracelet should be tasked with refresh for the Seamaster.

I kind of wish Omega would make some endlinks to make the 3861 bracelet compatible with all of their lyre lug watches.

Yeah... literally the only thing holding me back from a SMP... they're nice on NATO's and leather straps though! ;)

I recently purchased an US1479 bracelet with the double button milled clasp. It's similar to the speedy bracelet. It's a perfect fit to the watch. Tapers down to 16mm and the clasp is 18mm. Looks and feels awesome.

My wife bought me a white dial on the bracelet and I immediately put it on an Omega rubber strap. A few weeks ago I decided to try the bracelet and I’m actually liking it. The micro adjust is pretty handy.
