2023 Daytona lume
Just picked up a new 126519 Daytona from my AD. This is my first Daytona and I love the watch but absolutely disappointed by its lume. The new hour markers are too slim to have usable lume

Yes, sure here it is. Super happy with the updated Daytona. I was skeptical based on the photos but in person, looks more elegant and the dial looks less cluttered and the glide lock is icing on the cake.

I don't think the Daytona lume was ever very good. It's just too little material.

Oh no that lume is terrible, I’ll take it off your hands!
Congratulations, enjoy that awesome piece! |

Lume on many Rolex watches is hardly useful. Certainly the case for Daytona’s.

You're right! That weak lume is totally unacceptable. I'll DM you my address so you can discard that poor excuse of a Daytona to me asap! Big time QC issues!
I wouldn't sweat it. DM

Congrats on the piece! This seems to be a common complaint with Daytona owners in general is that the watch is difficult to read at quick glance with lume or not..

Don't feel bad. The "Lime" in rolex watches has been mediocre at best, at least since I bought my first Sub in 1970

I would say it is easier to see what time it is in the dark.

Just post a live picture of your watch whenever you need to tell the time in the dark and we will tell you what time your watch says. It is clearly legible to us.

this is my experience as well with my 116520 & 116523. Even the non-maxi dial 5 digit subs have more lume than my daytonas (and no, it is not bad enough for any of you to "take them off my hands")

Agreed. And i think it’s one of the (very) few ticks in the Rolex negative column. However brightly Rolex lume is once you’ve just been out in the sun(!) it’s always pretty much gone when and if you need it at night.
