Incoming 6007G

Was very fortunate to pick this up yesterday. I know it has received a bit of a luke warm reception from the Patek traditionalist. I’m new to the Patek scene, for me these new style calatrava’s along with 5226G, are a great entry point to the brand.

Couldn't agree with you more! I like the non-traditional additions from Patek. Looked at both the 6007G and 5226G when looking to add a Patek to my watch collection and went with the 5226G. Yes, they are not your typical Calatrava timepiece but they a sportier choice from an otherwise dress watch line.

Congratulations on your first Patek and wear the $hit out of it!

It's pretty cool. The dial gives me roulette wheel vibes, and it's nice that it's not stogy. Not every watch has to be serious.

Congratulations! I saw it in the metal (3 colors) and it definitely has all the finishing and dial decoration standards that Patek used to "play" with.

The style is the novelty here and echoes many references unveiled in the past that also shook Patek's traditional style. Those novelties became the new "traditional" along the way.

It mustn't go too fast but it will definitely talk to younger people. The more tradional offer is still available in the catalogue.

A beautiful watch, enjoy it well :)

You may want to check this, but I'm told that you have to use the Patek gold pins pins on the watch and not steel since the case is gold. Others can chime in here and correct me if I am wrong.

i've read it, but have yet to see people posting examples of lug holes being out of round from wear. I still did reuse the Patek spring bars just to be safe. Love my 6007, have a soft spot since my wife thought about getting me the 6000 when we were getting married but was out of budget at the time. I did switch the strap out to a custom Camille fournet with yellow edges, didn't really like the carbon motif strap even tho it matches the dial.

Curious if anyone finds the rotor to be noisy on this watch. I feel like every time I’m moving I can hear the rotor spinning. I’ve showed it to two different “experts” who say it’s normal but I gotta say it’s really loud.

Yes the rotor is very noisy, I quite like this. Often flick my wrist just to get it spinning 😵*💫

Congratulations! This is the Patek that is on my want list, and of all 3 colorways this is my favorite by far.
