All, I tried to photograph it with my AF digicam but was not able to get anything worth posting to show, so hopefully others can just confirm theirs does this too (or not) by description. I noticed that the very center of the dial on my brand new GMT IIC appears to be "tightened down" in the very center such that you can see a circular "dent" around the shaft. It is pretty visible if you look at it with a light source right at the edge of the bend.

Is this normal?

FWIW, my Y Series Sub has a bit of an indentation in the center of the dial...

Around center, around edges. So far GMT IIc TT & YG had it ,now SubC YG too. Looks good to me. DSSD doesn't show though, might be because of the matte dial not reflecting the cruves of the dent...

Hard to see, but I think mine has it. Concentric circles around the center of the dial.

I see the same on my SD and around the date window. I only see it when there is a very bright light on it or at the right angle. It appears to be a reflection/refraction of the indented or dimpled area.

To try and keep this simple....Its not a dent at all!!! Its when the dial is painted,the surface tension from the paint is less around the openings(edges) of the dial!!! Therefore the paint thins out on the edges and leaves a beveled looking effect!!! Sort of like when you fill your glass with liquid to the point where it spills over the edge,just before that happens you have a dome effect where its higher in the middle than close to the edge of the rim!!

if it's any consolation...i don't see this 'indentation' on a replica Sub SS.
