Minty 1947 18K YG Datejust

Don't have many details. But I believe it's a 1947. 18K YG (case and bracelet). Supposed to be original. Watch is mint. Any ideas about collectibility? Value? All info appreciated!

Pics, model and serial # are needed to give any guess as to value. Otherwise its like saying I found an old Ford Mustang, it the price worth it? Far too many variables

Thanks. I'll have to see what add'tl info I can get. I didn't realize that these were that ubiquitous.

An analogy: "Gee. That's a nice old airplane", says the unitiatied. "No. That's a P-51 Mustang". I suspect that the current wearer may be in the former camp, so I'm trying to get an idea as to possible price ranges. Even wide ranges may be helpful.

So, JYogi, using your FoMoCo example, I guess I'm trying to find out if it's a nice 64 1/2, or a GT500KR.

Any good resource sites?

I'll get to work...

You are on the best resource site. With more information there is more than enough expertise on this forum to nail down the value. Pictures would help.
