Pass was a good choice given that just reading you post, it just didn’t sound like you loved it :)

I actually like it - starting to crave for one on a strap.

I actually loved the dial and how the black strap contrasted with it from the pics well before I decided to get it. The composite strap that comes with it is INSANELY comfortable and looks awesome (the grey goes great against the dial), and makes the watch far more casual/sporty. It's easily the most comfortable SS sports watch I've owned with this strap. Having said that, I agree with others who say the day/month is not easy to read, but the finishing on the watch and the graded dial still make it amazing to me. If you don't feel that way about it, then pass, or you will regret getting it. An yes, it's easily the least desired nautilus out there. |

I had a 26 for about 6 mos. It was ok but just didn’t like it on a strap. It’s one of the few Patek’s I sold or traded off and have never missed. Just my experience. :-)

I sort of had a similar dilemma. I went on a list for a 5711 (blue dial) last year. Within a week the AD called and asked if I would be interested in white dial. I really wasn't. I contemplated buying it to flip. Instead, I passed and would rather see it go on someone's wrist that really wanted the piece and passed. It's now over a year and still waiting for my blue dial nautilus.

I had a white dial 5035J and HSWA was willing to do a dial swap to the black dial for only $1k plus cost of a standard service. |
