As in your wife wants one? Or the one about you preferring 11 and 12 only?

The one that compares the 26 to the 90. The one where I point out it’s like
1) a dude/or dudet that skipped gym day
2) the date window is like zits on a beautiful face

Pass was a good choice given that just reading you post, it just didn’t sound like you loved it :)

I actually like it - starting to crave for one on a strap.

Please dont do it Jin! You have bought enough to warrant the sought after Nauts

RubberB makes a nice strap for it.

Just got a call from my AD offering me a Nautilus 5726A-001 in stainless steel on a black crocodile strap. This was really unexpected and I am not really too familiar with the 5726A. Other than it just being a Nautilus there are key things I really don’t like about it, namely the unsightly day and month at 12 o’clock where “Geneva” should be and more importantly...the croc strap. I literally just got a croc strap AP ROC less than 48 hours ago (incoming pics in the AP forum), and I really don’t want a Nautilus with a croc strap. I asked the AD if I can order a stainless Nautilus bracelet for the 5726A and they said they believe it is possible and will “look into it.” Being the impatient guy that I am, I just called HSWA and asked the same question. HSWA said they will not sell replacement bracelets to allow an owner to go from a croc strap to bracelet. They acknowledged historically they used to sell bracelets for this purpose, but as of a few years ago Patek Geneva no longer allows it. So basically if I get this 5726A I’m stuck with the croc strap. Also looking at the secondary market, the croc strap Nautiluses seem to be the least desirable Nautilus so long term value may not hold as well as the bracelet versions. I am not in love with this Nautilus and other than it just being in the Nautilus collection of watches, nothing about it speaks to me and I wish it was available on the bracelet or that I could at least purchase a replacement stainless bracelet for it. Given all this, I’m considering passing on it. I asked the AD for a bit of time to decide and they asked me to let them know by Monday when they will goto the next person on their list.
I own this watch and would tell you that if you don't like it, pass on it.
I actually loved the dial and how the black strap contrasted with it from the pics well before I decided to get it. The composite strap that comes with it is INSANELY comfortable and looks awesome (the grey goes great against the dial), and makes the watch far more casual/sporty. It's easily the most comfortable SS sports watch I've owned with this strap.

Having said that, I agree with others who say the day/month is not easy to read, but the finishing on the watch and the graded dial still make it amazing to me.

If you don't feel that way about it, then pass, or you will regret getting it. An yes, it's easily the least desired nautilus out there.

I think this is a good second Nautilus.

Like my new ROC on the croc strap... it’s a good second Royal Oak.

Agreed, although in my case it served as my first.
Now I'm waiting patiently on my 5990

I had a 26 for about 6 mos. It was ok but just didn’t like it on a strap. It’s one of the few Patek’s I sold or traded off and have never missed. Just my experience. :-)

You already have one of the best looking watch on a strap, the 5327g.

I sort of had a similar dilemma. I went on a list for a 5711 (blue dial) last year. Within a week the AD called and asked if I would be interested in white dial. I really wasn't. I contemplated buying it to flip. Instead, I passed and would rather see it go on someone's wrist that really wanted the piece and passed. It's now over a year and still waiting for my blue dial nautilus.

Is it possible to buy the 5711 white dial and then just do a dial swap to blue during service? Replacement dials are only about $1k.

I had a white dial 5035J and HSWA was willing to do a dial swap to the black dial for only $1k plus cost of a standard service.
