Yes. Had it shipped from the dealer and had it an hour when the rotor got stuck. After looking closer I saw that a small component was stuck between the side wall and the corner of the rotor. Something must have come lose and fallen out, unless there is any conceivable way that there was an extra part that somehow got in there. I only think this is possible because the watch continued to run fine (other than the rotor). When I took it back to the dealer the component fell back out and was rolling around inside the watch. Update- I sent the 5990 back almost two months ago after the winding rotor got stuck with a lose component in the movement. Received it back the other day. It looked good until I looked closer tonight and found the 6 second marker is peeling up...so apparently these are really high quality watches as long as you don’t look too close or expect the movement to remain intact... Wow, I feel for you. I wonder what will be offered to soften this blow?

I should request a Daytona and get rid of this thing! Have 3 Rolex and have never had any kind of issue. This seems crazy to me Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Did they not do a final QC? That's scary sloppy especially since this is visible to the naked eye... no loupe required

I’m beginning to wonder if the do QC on anything at this point. My 5522 also has a blemish on the inside of the crystal where something must have rubbed some of the anti reflection coating. 2 out of the 3 Pateks I have bought have had something I would have expected to be caught before shipping. But the Aquanaut seems ok! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
