Holy Grail

O.K. Boys and Girls I have been Patient all year monitoring the opinions of many. Hoping to see the 100's of Magic Posts after Christmas from those who finally Flipped or Flopped and made the move to gift themselves of their "Grail"
I know for some a Fork Lift would be required to get them off their wallet ! Thus far I have been Underwhelmed. I have my favorites so this year I nothing to report.

My first 'real nice' non-Rolex. I've been thinking of this one for about six months and the more I looked and thought there were less and less available at ADs until now they've become pretty hot and the ADs are now quoting a 3-4 month wait and no discounts. Oh well, with a TRF brothers help I was able to make it happen for Christmas from a TS in NY, Bnib with a nice discount as well. Thanks for the 'SOLID' Tim.

I wasn’t seeking a grail, but it found me anyway.

Absolutely stunning. What are your thoughts on the overall feel of the VC versus your Rolexes?

Hey chloebear. As far as the feel it's a few grams heavier than the 114060 but weight distribution is better. It's more comfy like a DJ41. It's a true 41 and the bracelets weighty, a lot lighter on the strap. I'd say it's like a DJ41 on steroids or a slighty heavier 6 dgt. Gmtll. It's a really good feel on the wrist. If you ever give it some thought I'd say go for it, this one really blew me away more than anything else I've had. The quality and details that I see are kind of outrageous. It's becoming less of a sleeper now since this 3rd. gen came out in '16.

I like the simplicity of the VC dial, congrats on your purchase.

How is it antimagnetic with a see thru back???? I thought they need a lead cover or shield to be antimagnetic

No, no longer need a metal back for anti-magnetism. They can use silicon springs. That sort of thing.

It's good for 25000 a/m. It also has an iron ring around the case back that attracts and deflects magnetism as well.

Man stop posting these pics.

I'm seriously considering trading my one below for yours. But I'll have to add money on top. Maybe cheaper for RSC to change the dial?

Ohhh I feel your pain! I was there myself just a few days ago. Finally came to terms with the idea of being unfaithful to my previously favorite watch... LOL.

Thanks for the feedback! It certainly looks the business. I didn't care for the first two generations of the model, but this new one is killer. Vacheron has really stepped up their game. I really need to see one of these in person. I'll be curious over time how much wrist time it gets in your rotation.

Very well played.
