What dial would you choose for my Day date?

What dial would you stay with? The first photograph is my original watch and the second is a Photoshop with an Onyx dial.

The onyx is strong but for day to day wear it would be the original.

The original is a stunner imho. The Onyx makes me want to say, "nice Movado Museum."

Between these I would vote onyx. It’s so unique and special.

The champagne dial is for sure iconic but it’s because there were so many produced. If you can switch and retain the original it’s a no brainer.

PS... for those who think it’s hard to read the time without markers you should try to read the time on a champagne dial Day Date, it’s next to impossible!

Your pictures aren't showing up but I have seen both. I’m not a big fan of the all onyx dial without markers if that is the one you are looking at?

I originally had the champagne stick dial as well and went the other color direction with a white roman dial. Love that combo.

Not a huge fan of the Onyx dial. It’s your watch, therefore your preference.

If it were my watch? Classic Champagne or Silver. With sticks.

That white Roman dial is the best of the three.

I don’t see the pics, but have an onyx dial DD. Really the only reason I went with a DD. It is so unique and has a certain presence. Might it look like a Movado... yes, but whatever. It has a certain look to it. Not your typical DD.

One question that I always notice why are all the older DDs the day wheel never sits in the middle.

I've seen this with tonnes of these now. Is it because it just needs a service or what?

Regarding your question - keep the original dial
