OysterQuartz day-date day and date change stuck between midnight and 4am...???

Hi all. I recently purchased an OysterQuartz Day-Date from a local store in Maryland that I've dealt with in the past. I noticed the other night that the day and date change process doesn't flip right over, instead it seems to get stuck between the change and doesn't complete until about 4am. I've attached a pic of what it looks like. Does this mean it needs to be serviced? Has anyone else experienced this with a day-date? Please let me know.

Stuck or slow to complete the cycle? Different things. After reading it again seems like it’s slow to complete.

This is a relatively easy adjustment on all watches BUT get the service history on the watch. If their in-house tech did some pre-sale stuff it could be a simple fix.

Chewbacca it literally flips halfway between the day of the week and stays like that until sometime between 3:30 and 4am. The date window goes blank(the way it normally does for a quick millisecond) buy stays like that until that same 3:30-4am timeframe. The normal process is for both the day and date to flip over simultaneously and instantly. I was originally questioning if the process for the OysterPerpetual day-date was the same on the OysterQuartz. I searched and searched and finally found a video on YouTube which verified that it should switch over instantly and completely when it does happen. So I was posing the question here to see if anyone else here has experienced this, heard of it, etc...

Understood.

Something is causing mid cycle resistance. I would suggest doing a manual old school date change by rotating the hands a full cycle and slow when the date and day begin their rotation. Have a feel through the crown and note any resistance and listen for a smooth click or some resistance. That’ll give some analog idea as to whether it’s a pin or tooth issue on a moving part or an obstruction.

Go from there.

Note: my terms used are lay but I hope you get the gist of it.

Thanks. I gave that a try. Didn't feel anything unusual or strange. It just stayed at that stuck position as I rotated the hands up until just after 3:30am then it clicked over to the new day and date. I haven't even had it a full week yet. I guess I'll contact the dealer about it. It has an in house warranty. Thanks again!
