Incoming SubC Date
Last Friday I got the call from my AD that they had a Submariner Date just come in and wanted to know if I would like to come down to look at it. The obvious answer for me was “YES! Be there in 15 minutes!”
I get to the AD, my SA tells me that he actually has two: a date and non date, which would I like to see? I chose the date. The other SA’s must have called the next guy in line because within 15 minutes another guy comes strolling in and the non date was sold. Maybe that’s a good sign of things to come in 2020 as far as availability. Both of my AD purchases occurred within 6 weeks, with initially 0 previous history. It does leave a hard choice for me to make. From 0 Rolexes to 3 in 6 weeks. Two AD purchases and one from a TRF member. Looks like one of these will have to move along when/if the Daytona call comes. Thanks everyone! The Sub date is not quite as pretty as the perfectly symmetrical Submariner. However it is really annoying checking a phone or asking for the date all the time. Weirdly though I don’t feel that way when I wear the Explorer.
