Any live pics of a 116509 with steel dial and black sub dials?
I have been lusting over this reference and there don't seem to be many pictures of it on the forum from actual owners. I can look at stock images all day, but would love to see some pictures of it in the wild on forum members wrists.....
Anyone here own this watch and want to share a pic? |

Went through all 45 pages of the second link... only TWO pics of the WG silver dial with black sub-dials. Pages 35 and 42. |

Only my opinion but you would be making a big mistake. Want a WG Daytona? Add it to your collection and keep the Sub. |

I will still have a YG Daytona to scratch the YG itch and I will still have a SS Sub Date to scratch the Sub itch. |

An AD in California I deal with has one. I almost bought it Sunday but no discount and taxes is a tuff pill to swallow on that for me.

Ouch. So like 42 out the door. That is a lot of love for the AD without a serious bundle.
The whole Daytona thing is wacked. A TT can be found for like 13K. Under retail. Add 7K worth of gold for 30K addition to the price. Remove all the gold, add 10cents worth of ceramic and it's 24K. And then there is the Platona. BUT... It might be the best looking Daytona in production. Saw one in Carmel over xmas. |

There’s no logic behind PM pricing, but so long as people are lining up to pay retail on these, nothing is going to change. You could say it’s a bargain relative to the pricing of the platinum Daytona, or to full gold pricing of AP and Patek, but I realize those are better finished more prestigious brands. I have to admit, having been offered steep discounts on Rolex before, most especially full PM, the idea of full retail is tough to adjust to on these pieces for me as well. It's only a matter of time. Theres no reason for Rolex not to release the PMs with Ceramic bezel especially since the the SS and the PM OF models all been updated already. Either this years Basel or next years would be my guess. I dont see then holding out too long to release them.
