>> It also means Patek Philippe authorised dealers will not have to commit precious cash to buying in new collections.

None of the retailers who shared the news of Patek Philippe’s decision wanted to go on the record, and executives from the brand have not yet confirmed the news with WatchPro.

One retailer said it was another example of how Patek Philippe cares for and appreciates the needs of its partners. He said that the brand had also relaxed payment terms on invoices to relieve pressure on cashflow.

Sounds like a Rolex call out by that AD.

I still don’t think Rolex follows suit. You guys continue to compare PP to Rolex and they’re just not comparable. At all. Not with price, not with volume, not with intended market (there’s VERY small overlap with sports range to Nautilus/Aquanaut and a practically inconceivable amount with Cellini to PP dress pieces), not with advertising, not with finishing and on and on and on

Launching new watches when all retail outlets are shut hardly seems sensible. And, there are more significant issues to consider in the world right now ...

I’ve been wondering about this and Rolex looking tone deaf by launching a big splashy release during these hard times.

I guess most brands now will wait to next Baselworld or SIHH (if there will be any) to present new models. With this virus situation
they will focus on other things.

What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

Buy a professional camera and you´re a professional
photographer, buy a flute and you own a flute.

Yea I don't see it happening at the end of April like it was originally scheduled for Baselworld since that's when this thing is projected to be spiking. I doubt they'll announce anything as long as Rolex itself is shut down. Maybe this summer perhaps if/when the factory opens back up.

It doesn’t surprise me at all that PP are being caring. I have a girly 24 watch from them. It’s a quartz and they do free servicing / battery changes and provide lovely travel pouches. Rolex on the other hand charge full whack for their servicing and when I serviced my watch £800 later, I got a cheap polishing cloth lol
