YM for the pop, especially the blue dial

Sub for the traditional more casual, tool watch look

Now if they only made a no date YM!!

I’ve got plenty of watch buddies. Everyone has a sub. Not one of them has a YM... except me :)

YM Rhodium is stunning and I love it, especially the blue seconds hand!

Totally Agree! I believed YM116622 Blue will be one of the "hot" item buyer be looking for. It's so underrated now Bc everyone is jumping on a band wagon with the Sub and GMT but bottom line, YM is better in value vs sub....Go see the Rolex official site and compare. Suggested retail YM=$12000 vs Sub?!? :)

Also YM prices on pre-owned market are a great play in relation to the subs.

I think the YM is definitely underrated and before seeing one in person I was on the sub band wagon. IMO The rhodium dial with the blue second hand is one of the most beautiful sports Rolex’s.

Sub for me, I’m a huge fan of subs.
However I do appreciate the YMs beauty. My wife has one and it’s a lovely piece, but she now fancies moving to a sub too bizarrely.

Yachtmaster40 with rhodium dial hands down. This is such a classy, sporty and versatile watch not to mention extremely comfortable and very underrated. And that rhodium dial with the monochromatic look is simply stunning.

YM by a mile. That side by side photo you posted definitely won't recruit any new 6 digit supercase fans, YM looks so much more sleek and well designed.

Have you looked into the blue YM?
The dial, the bezel, and the case are quite different between YM and Sub, but for me the sub takes it because it has the matted bracelet. For some reason I scratch watches pretty easily.

YM little too flashy and dressy for everyday use....go with ND or Exp II. Those are my daily rotation watches.

Explorer II as an everyday is actually perfect. I love the brushed bracelet as well so that I don't feel bad about scratches.
