Picked up an SS SkyD back in November and can attest mine does not have this problem.

Was a daily beater for about a year, never had that noise. Just wound mine and did usual monthly... no noise. Should be under warranty so no worries.

The ball bearings make a little more noise than the axle shaft on the 3135 which was silent, but it should not be "very loud."

Have owned a handful of Sky Dwellers - never heard a "noise" on any of them.

Mine isn't noticeable or audible. Don't worry, can always send it off to RSC for evaluation or service once things normalize after coronavirus closures.

I’ve always thought mine ticked a little louder. I absolutely love it.

I have a white dial steel that does whir louder than the rest, but I almost never wear it.

Have not bothered to have it looked at. But I would send it in.
