Not “technically” schadenfreude, but...

I must admit I’m enjoying watching the race to the bottom for these current production “hot” references. It can’t be schadenfreude if my collection is losing value too, right?

Huh? It sounds like you need to get outside for some fresh air.

Of course, we all do... But I can't be the only one excited about the prospect of being able to purchase a watch at MSRP again, am I?

And maybe a bit pleased that the tide may have turned on the flippers who've been disabling the ability to do so?

Well, I don’t think the value of your collection really matters if you don’t plan to sell your watches.

Not trying to go after the OP but I’ve seen a lot of threads along the same line and I really wish people would look at the bigger picture here and bubble it up to what comes with the lowering cost of luxury goods...the overall impact to your life. Even if it hasn’t directly impacted you, which in some variable it likely has...surely its impacted a friend or family member.

If I had the choice, sure I’d like for watches to be at msrp or below...who wants to pay more than they need to for something. But unfortunately the way we are seeming to get there is by impacting people’s retirement, financial stability, health and wellbeing of citizens, jobs and much much more. Surely there is a size-able portion of those on TRF that through this pandemic have lost thousands, tens of thousands maybe even hundreds of thousands of dollars, friends and families health, stress...is it all worth it?
