I've got to say, the watch is beautiful in every aspect. I mean wow. I would like to trade the DJ in to purchase it as I'm a two watch kind of person but had some hesitation about owning two submariners. Just wanted a different perspective on the matter. What are some thoughts about only having 2 Rolex, both being subs. Thanks.
buy what you like. I have two GMTs, and looking to add a third :)

I think the SubC date and bluesy would be a perfect two watch combo

Great trio!

The Bluesy Submariner is a gorgeous watch, I would take one over a DJ any day.

I prefer the Submariner in any configuration to the DJ in any configuration. Buy what you want and what you will enjoy and wear. Good lick and let us know what you decide.

I wouldn’t worry too much about redundancy. If you like it, go for it.

Seems there are a few ways people approach this.....go deep on a model (ie. a bunch of Subs), go deep on a type (collect various dive watches), go wide on model type (pilot, GTM, dive, dress), and/or go wide on brands. Perhaps other ways to look at it, to each their own.
