Next watch 226659 or 5167a?

I have been looking at both models as a next purchase and wanted to see the opinions of others who are owners. I plan on wearing the watch frequently, not occasionally. I really enjoy both pieces and wish I could have both!

None of them at those price points.

But if you got your heart set on it get the YM.

Have you worn an Aquanaut 5167a before? It was a HUGE HUGE letdown for me.

I have not, not sure how I would be able to. I have only tried on the 116655, which I also really enjoyed.

Go try one on otherwise it could be a expensive lesson for you

To me it felt very underwhelming, fragile and the overall look and feel of it in person is just not so good. I'm not the only one feeling like this either after seeing and trying one on in the flesh.

Does not feel like a premium watch thats for sure.

Totally agree what some else just said. I always wanted a Patek but when I tried my friends on I didn’t get it !!! Didn’t feel special like I thought

That’s really a good point. Always better to not assume! I love the oysterflex and I already have a Daytona so I was looking at the yacht master and the aquanaut

If you want something that REALLY feels special get yourself a DD40 in whichever metal suites you.

Otherwise a 116618LB or even an AP15400 or ROC Chrono in RG

All the above blows the Patek out of the water for me. I'd have each of the above over an Aquanaut anyday of the week. The Aquanaut is just a watch that doesnt have the "WOW" factor - you will know exactly what I'm talking about when you try it on.

Agree with the above, I passed on the RG aquanaut in favor of the 116655 for the same reasons. YMMV but I’d definitely try it on first.

I had a 5167 for a few months and agree with others. Very underwhelming. I have the 126655 and love it. Not sure how you feel about rose gold though

I have the 5167 and I really like it. Would do the YM over it though.

Does feel special on its own, but Rolex definitely more substantial.

Love Patek Nautilus, but long waiting list also.

Should looks into AP 15500 also, AP bracelet is the most gorgeous in watch industry.

If you were looking at the aquanaut travel time, that would be one thing. Rolex makes a more compelling three hander imo. If it’s complications you’re after, hard to beat Patek.

Aquanaut !!! People who don't get IT. Didn't wear long enough. The complex case, the movement, legibility,120 meters wr, and comfort. The finishing no comparison to Rolex. Just a durable too or more maybe. I am a fan !

Go try it on. Yes its a Patek but trust me it didnt feel like anything special to me at ALL and i mean at ALL. Going by some reviews and talking to members of my watch club many feel this way.

I've been around watches like forever. Tried on everything from Tags to RMs. This particular Patek just feels dated, the look of it is nothing special and it just doesnt have that WOW factor for me.

Much rather a 5711 or 5712. Even the 5711 is a little underwhelming for me.

Now the 5980/R on bracelet THAT is a special watch.

Yachtmaster. It just looks better. The Patek sports watches are over-hyped. The Calatravas are beautiful.

For much less money the 126655 smokes the aquanaut.
