Got it out of mothballs
Just realized I haven't worn my Datejust II in two and a half months due to the coronavirus lock down. This is sort of my designated work/dress watch. Figured I'd stretch her legs some today just for fun even with shorts and a t-shirt. Forgot how much I love this watch, the first Rolex I ever bought.
Anyone else have a MIA dressier Rolex to pull out of the safe today? If so, let's see it! Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S10 using Tapatalk |

I didn't punish any of my watches because of the virus. They each saw time, bau.

The post simply uses the colloquial idea of mothballs - something used for long term storage to convey his point. Those foolish enough to accept his words literally do not likely belong to these forums. Here’s an interesting anecdote about mothballs. http://npic.orst.edu/capro/mothball.html |

My watches are all zipped up in Oakley Watch Vaults and haven't been out in months as we have been sequestered at home for months also. I am beginning to wonder if I really need them anymore. It may be years before life is back to normal once things start to open up. It's not like we will be going out to social events or restaurants where I would wear one of my watches. What's the use in maintaining them anymore if they can't be seen or appreciated. Hmmm...

My DJ41 has been sitting for a while. I'm wearing my AK 116900 almost everyday since I changed the Oyster to a Everest Rubber. So comfortable and light and no worries about scratching the bracelet..

I pulled this out today for the first time in a few months. I’ve mostly been wearing my Seikos and Speedmaster.
