I agree. and can’t stop yawning. reminds me of doxa and all of their color dial iterations...no new innovation.

Definitely a better look than just putting a blue bezel on the same black dial. I hope they do a green one.

This is what it should've looked like. Subtle cream-colored lume and the "block" indices. People would've gone nuts.

I agree, though a lot of this DNA is in the Pelagos.

Definitely would be cannibalizing the Pelagos a bit. However 1)the Pelagos is 42mm, 2)titanium, 3)has a date, 4)has crown guards, 5)has lumed bezel. I think they could've released the above in the BB58 case and it would've been different enough so as to still make sense within the catalogue.

Any idea if Tudor will be discontinuing any models with the intro of this new reference?

It would be great if they stop printing the user manual on the dial on Pelagos and then it will appeal to more wider base!

oh, I agree. 42 mm itself does take a decent sized portion of the audience out.

It's nice but the original works better.

I'd still love to see a GMT in BB58 proportions

I actually enjoy having the disclaimers and instructions on my watch. Very useful if I forget what is the maximum depth or if I can rely on the accuracy of the movement.

Starting to warm up to this a bit as I see better quality photos of it. It appears the dial is a slightly lighter shade of blue than the bezel, which I think looks good. I still wish they'd have gone with a very subtle cream color for the lume, but it's a good looking watch.

If that had either Mercedes hand (not happening) or scalloped bezel it would be perfect. Snowflake and coin-edge just don't go together. Pelagos is an exception because it's a clear spin-off design.

Is that bezel misaligned? The example in the Bark and Jack review also seemed to suffer from that. https://barkandjack.com/2020/06/30/i.../#comment-3080

You mean if it looked like a Rolex? Well, in January 2021 your wish might come true but it won't say Tudor on the dial.

Tudor is trying to differentiate itself from Rolex. If they put out a blue Sub and stamp Tudor on it, it would bring back the whole "poor man's Rolex" deal.

I like the old blue Tudor Subs as a historic piece, but I don't think it would benefit the brand to return to that.

No, I really am simply talking about the fact that the Snowflake hand and coin-edge bezel clash badly. Pencil hands (which Tudor has done, in a one-off) would also be fine.

It's fine on the Pelagos because it's a very different design overall.

Honestly, the new lines of Tudor divers are closer to Rolex designs than the abominations of the last wave, such as the Hydro1200, surely one of the ugliest watches ever made.

They can keep the coin edge with a pencil hour hand. That still works.

Furthermore, there are many people, such as myself, who wouldn't wear the SubC at any price. Tudor seems to be the only hope for a non-chubby diver from HWF.
