rolex oyster perpetual

hey there,

I want to buy a 'Rolex Oyster Perpetual date just superltiy chronometer officially certified' from a friend. It's a very very old watch (I think) as I cannot find anything about it online. It has an odd way of showing the time, the 12 = Rolex logo - 3,6,9 = square and 1,2,4,5,7,8,10,11 = dots. The back says "exactitude Japan movt no 8078G waterproof".

Does anyone know this watch? I've never seen any like this one before. My friend has a hard time getting the serial number so I can't find it. Please help!

A Datejust without a date? Japanese movement? It’s not even trying to be real.

Rolex are Swiss Made, not Japanese.

And that’s why the Japanese don’t make Rolex. They are much better at making Grand Seiko!!
