Why it this happening to my watch?
I had my watch for 5 years. I bought it brand new from an authorized dealer It is a datejust Two tone and I’ve noticed discoloration around the crown symbol at the clasp. I’ve tried to clean it; it’s still there. Does anyone know what it is, why it’s happening? And how to get rid of it?

It’s oxidation of the copper element in the Gold. It’s there because it’s an area that’s not so easily exposed to the normal wear that would clean it naturally. It’s nothing wrong at all. A liquid cleaner will remove it in an instant.

Do you still have a sticker on the clasp? I’m wondering if that’s grime stuck on the edges of the sticker surrounding that area?

I wasn't aware there was copper in Rolex' yellow gold, I thought it was in rose gold only. I learnt something new.
