Thoughts on our pre 2020 Submariners value

Hi guys just wanted to get your thoughts on what will happen to the value of our pre facelift submariners?

I just picked up the last of the pre facelift two tone gold/black and not sure what to feel at the moment..

You're buying mass produced watches, not stocks or paintings.

I that was you reasoning, you were wrong to beging with.

Not sure what the "facelift" thing means either. Every Submariner is a facelift but the 6204.

Btw that particular model can be had under retail. Wasn’t a good “investment” piece to begin with.

Why does it matter?

Assuming you bought the watch because you liked it, wear and enjoy

Damn. Rough audience today.

I wouldn’t think too much about it. It’s a great piece either way. Enjoy it and wear it in good health!

If you were happy with your purchase when you made it, that’s what matters most

Even if the value dips, it wouldn’t be so drastic that you would notice

pre facelift two tone gold/black - pre-own price should soften - the new TT Sub with smaller lugs looks better

I called my grey dealer and he said he has received literally dozens of phone calls and emails from 116610 owners looking to dump their current Sub for the new Sub.

He won't take any of them.

I applaud you for posting this. It has to be the most violated forum policy on TRF.

Are you kidding me right now? Just go away, literally have nothing good to say on any post, stop being a troll. What are you the Rolex police? If you don't like it, move along!

You guys are right. Prices on pre face lift subs are going to tank. With that being said, anyone interested in buying my Hulk at retail?

Of course. This is why I hoped everything released would be boring.

People don't care about the watches, they just want to make money.

Wear yours and enjoy it. And when you want to have new one then you can always sell yours at market price and move onto new piece. So many things in the world going on that can really effect the price of your piece. We could be going into a recession, every model could drop.

Can’t imagine why the value would go up, at best you may be able to recoup almost all of your funds on the basis of someone being really particular for the 40 vs 41 mm. As others have said you’re fine, enjoy it, most any other brand would take a massive depreciation as soon as your out the door

Disagree. More like a 70-80 percent drop.

BTW. If anyone is selling at 80% off, shoot me an IM.
