OP "Bright Blue" vs. Datejust "Blue"
Now that the OP's have an updated movement, I'm trying to decide between the OP36 and the DJ36 with a blue dial. The new OP line describes their blue as "Bright Blue," where the DJ describes its blue as simply, well, "Blue."
Does anyone know the difference? Are they the same shade of blue (with a different name), or is the OP now actually lighter or brighter than the DJ? Thanks for any help/tips you might be able to provide! Cheers. |

I would go for the DJ. Something about those double sticks at 3,6,9 bother me. Better yet pick up an old dial 3/6/9 explorer style dial on a 36mm OP used for a great price.

For a classic beautiful blue watch, it is hard to beat the DJ sunburst. OP36 is going to be less conservative.

Try to find a way to try it on. I found all the blues to be different last time I looked at the DJ and OP models last year. Not to mention the bluesy, smurf and YM differences in blue.

I haven't seen pics yet of the new "Bright Blue" OP. Perhaps it's too soon. Curious why they call it "Bright." If anyone has pics of the new blue dial (live, rather than official), I'd love to see them! My AD doesn't have one in, and doesn't know when he will. Cheers.
