Rolex Sea-dweller 16600 - RSC service and upgraded endings.
Hello,
I just had a 1999 Sea-Dweller in to the Dallas RSC center. The reason I had it serviced was the original pins were stuck into the end links. The older hole cases could be difficult at times to take off the bracelet. My AD ended up having to drill out the pin and damaged the one end link in the process. I did not request an update, but I did want the one end link replaced that was damaged. They indicated they needed to do both sides which I agreed to. When I received the watch back I noticed they had upgraded the end links to more modern ones where you can remove pins with tweezer tool from behind. I thought this might be interesting to see, as most watches are replaced with period parts and not more modern ones. Please see photos. Thanks! Sent from my BBE100-5 using Tapatalk |
