You may be right. At least that would explain why there is no fix after 6 years. Too much time at lunch, not enough time engineering a fix. I get a follow-up mental image. One of Hans Wilsdorf knocking the sandwich out of their hands and saying "Is something funny? Have we found a fix yet??"

No issues so far. My Sea Dweller is only 3 weeks old though. Will keep an eye on it to see if it is losing any time and report back.

We had some inside info on that and relatively recently the answer was no, no permanent fix.

I marked “no-issue” because at this point, that is the case. The poll does not allow for status of watches that were “repaired” by an RSC. Essentially, my watch is fine after being at an RSC for 2 (COVID) months prior to the poll. I expect my answer will change 9-12 months from now. I also had another 32xx movement that had the same issue. I had it “repaired” at an RSC then flipped it. Of the (more than a) dozen Rolex watches I have worn over 30+ years, I have never had issues like this one; if the poll stays open, the number of negative experiences will rise. |

32xx movement problem poll and data thread
Fuzzy this thread came about with a lot of history before it including a Rolex authorised watchmaker explaining the issue and advising there is yet to be a official fix. People have had the issue reoccur post rsc. Please leave if you have nothing to add. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Well I’m sure I have that movement. Also I’m sure that it was running THIRTY SECONDS slow.. I’m also sure a bunch of other people have had the same issue. Lastly, I’m sure I have never had this issue with any other watch I have owned Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Look around TRF for posts by SearChart. You're new so slow down and do some reading.

I think Bas will post when there is an actual change to the 32xx movement.
There’s little point to debating anecdotal evidence beyond the stress relief of venting in public. Until Rolex makes a change to one or more components, they will likely remain mum and RSCs will be replacing worn parts under warranty. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

![]() However, the fix may not be easy given the nature of it and the attempt to patch it up in order to kick the can down the road some more. Keep in mind the backdrop of "Rolex recommended 10 year service intervals" and the new accuracy standard. The movements in question have a fairly serious cloud hanging over them. Especially since the 31xx movement set a high standard as far as all aspects of the ownership experience go. Again, we are going in circles hense the poll in order to quantify the extent of the problem and hopefully bring it out of the exclusive realms of anecdotal evidence. Regardless it's also exclusively up to Rolex to make it right. Fortunately our household is insulated from these issues as we are well served by 31xx era movements which currently serve us well and in accordance with the new accuracy standard. Hopefully for the foreseeable future. That's if history is anything to go by, with one example of a daily wearer coming up to 10 years old with absolutely no change to it's day to day accuracy since new ![]() The others are on track so far as well with another which is a daily wearer. ![]() Hopefull we remain ![]() |

32xx movement problem poll and data thread
Best answers!
Imagine you bought the same 7 watches as Robf52 did, for a today's price (in Switzerland) of exactly 77'000 CHF (85'000 US$). Would you acknowledge problems? Better not to look or measure but quote the -2/+2 sec/day (Rolex values) without knowing about accuracy or precision. Then you vote "Yes, no issue" and the preached "real world" remains in perfect order. Then you buy the lottery ticket, and ... WIN! |
