I'd choose the AP, myself.

I'm not a big fan of the Anniversary Subs, although I think they look great on the wrists of others.

I used to hate the Royal Oak, but it has grown on me, and if money were not an issue, I'd be on a waiting list for one.

I know an AP is one on those "next level" dealies...but I confess I can't help finding it kinda funny-looking. Definitely Rolex for me.

I prefer the Rolex. I had a 15400 and it was too big for my 7 inch wrist. I loved it in pictures but just couldn’t bond with it.

I had a 15400 and ended up trading it for my Daytona 3-4 years ago. Something about it was not a fit for me.

I actually prefer the 15400 much more than the 15500 .

the Submariner, without a doubt......it's the iconic sports watch of all times

it's much better as a beater's watch also

Sub

AP RO just isn’t for me. As an enthusiast I think the finish is untouchable so if you like the look and design them this is a very one sided question. It’s just not for me.

The Royal Oak is in another dimension, plus the LV I like is the original, the 16610LV.

I'm not a lover of the AP 70's style and don't wear suits except to funerals/court and weddings (not necessarily it that order)
Much prefer the Sub

I would choose the AP

I do not care for Rolex green on a Submariner

The LV easy for me, more versatile and durable fits my lifestyle. The AP is nice but too bland in that combo.

I'll take the Hulk - and I'm not even a fan of it, or green.

I don't get the RO, it may well be beautifully finished etc but it looks like something out of the seventies, which I suppose it is.

I would take the sub (though not the green one). I dont dislike the AP, but its a dress watch masquerading as a sport watch, and so I think there is room for both. People like to think its on a different level than rolex....yes and no. the AP is no where near as robust or versatile (it looks very 70's) and it was designed as jewelry and as such features exceptional finishing. The AP and PP nautilus/aquanut are the watches worn by the spectators of history, the Sub, GMT, and Speedy Pro worn by the doers of history.

I may also be in the minority, but I prefer the AP chronos over the 3 hand.
