DD36 leather straps to fit small wrist (5.5 in)?
Hi all,
I'm back consulting the expertise of TRF. I tried searching the forums and found similar topics, but couldn't find the exact answers. I am picking up a DD36 (18238) for my wife who has a small wrist size (5.5''). I'd like to pick up a nice leather strap for her as well to give her options + extend the life of the bracelet. I have some questions below. Would love it if anyone can help answer. 1) I'm considering a Hirsch strap after seeing it mentioned in several threads. Would the Medium size (110mm/70mm) + deployment clasp fit her? 2) Any other brands to look into? If I go custom, what would be an ideal size to request for her wrist? Bonus point if it can also fit my wrist (6.5) so I can take it for a spin sometimes , but obviously not necessary. 3) Any material / color recommendations in general ? The dial is champagne with myriad diamond (arabic numeral) so we're leaning golden brown Thanks. |

My girlfriend picked up a nice custom cognac ostrich leg strap for her daily wearer TAG F1 from Aaron at Combat Straps. Her wrist is about 5.75" and she went with a 100/85mm strap which had the buckle nicely centred on her wrist.
A few pics of the strap: |

DD36 leather straps to fit small wrist (5.5 in)?
Do you intent to buy one to use on a buckle or with a deployant? For deployant you need to first determine the deployant you will use to then select the appropiate band size. I use my DD 18239 with leather bands and a deployant:
here a couple own from Rolex : They can be ordered on shorter sizes, but again this style above is tailored for deployant. These buckle style ones are from Zenith (left) and Patek (right): With buckle its easier and cheaper to find options on various leather materials, textures and colors. Try Bulang and Sons. They have short version on some strap to choose.

Then the issue will be finding a strap with the right width at both ends (not sure what the inter-lug width was on that Cellini, but guessing less than the 20mm on the DD). |

Delugs size S did the trick
Sharing some updates below in case it's helpful for the next person.
We ended up ordering some Delugs straps in size Small (105/65). They fit both my wife's 5.5'' wrist (2nd to smallest hole) as well as my 6.5'' wrist - which is a huge bonus. The straight straps rubbed against the case slightly on the 6 o'clock side. The curved straps do not, but do leave a bigger gap. Thanks everyone for the recs. |
