I've owned both the 114060 and 14060M, I still own the 114060.
With the exception of the lugs, I prefer everything about the 114060. It definitely wears larger and heavier but it also feels much more premium and robust vs. the 14060. Glidelock is reason enough to keep the 114060. |

If you trade get the 2 liner not another 4 liner.

Please advise: swap 114060 for 14060?
I have owned both at the same time and prefer the 114060. I just didn’t like the rattly bracelet on the 14060, and the entire package of the 114060 (bracelet, case, bezel, etc.) just felt much more robust and premium. I might feel differently if the 14060 was around $6-$8K like it used to be, but not at the current, insane asking prices. JMO.

I had both. Kept the 14060M. Didn’t like the maxi case. For reference my wrist is 7.25 so size wasn’t an issue. Something about the classic lines of the 5 digit. Like the 60’s Porsche 911’s. Sublime.

Better watch is undeniable. That means nothing though, IMO. A Paul Newman Daytona, 1016, 1655 are all inferior to their respective modern day predecessors. In watch world, that is not necessarily important to many. The tough part will be handling the 14060 in person at first. Will feel like a toy comparatively speaking. Cheap bracelet / clasp compared to 114060. Regardless, it is much more romantic of a watch and if you look at your SubC and don’t feel that love, and you get that burning desire when seeing the 14060, 100% go for it. If it does not have to be Rolex, keep the 114060, save the 1k and buy a black bay 58 to compliment the SubC. Personally, I would take a 58 over a 14060 all day. May scratch the itch. If not, you might lose a little bit more to swap both for a 14060 in long run, but potentially worth the risk. |

I prefer the 114060 and the updates to the case, bezel and especially the Glidelock Clasp. The perfect fit every time.

I appreciate the input of all of you! If there’s one take away from all of you is not to make rushed decisions.
Personally I like the dimensions and vintage/authentic feel of the 14060 better than the “clinical” SubC but it makes no sense for me to trade at a loss the “better watch” in most respects even for a full set 14060M. Buying a Tudor Black Bay 58 is a thought since I’m drawn to smaller classic dimensions, especially the new silver case, but I know I will still be drawn to the 14060 or 5513 which I can’t afford. I will either keep the SubC and save $ for a full set 14060M or trade up for a new 124060 but then why move from the 3130 caliber in the SubC running at +1 sec. per day! |

I have a 14060M bought when first released. I didn’t care about the lugs, the bracelet, or the composition of the bezel. I just knew it was the successor to the 5512.

I wouldn't do that because, outside my preference for the ceramic bezel, I think the 114060 wears better, and having two watches from different eras seems better.
