Im going to Lago di Como and Milano in august, will wear my gold submariner. Been in Italy many times, don't buy bracelets from the guys standing in popular turist areas and you will be fine in regards of safety.

I’d leave them all at home, but if you must take one, take the blue dial DJ.

+1

Northern Italy is a fashion capital, I wouldn't visit without one of my favourite watches on the wrist.

I never understand why people chance it, the time is on your phone- take advantage of that and leave the watches at home.

italy

born and raise there, in the "jungle"
nothing can happen and everything can happen
but recently women are involved in stolen rolex with lovely manners
if you are lucky, they will steel your rolex
otherwise can get really bad
i will not try
wear another watch and enjoy your vacation

Eh? Why even drive out of your house then.

Traveling to Italy

Staying at my daughters house. They’re still in their 20s. They’re going to show us around. I have no idea where we’re going. No doubt we’ll do a lot of walking and hanging out with their 20 something friends. I’m thinking my Apple Watch is best for this trip. It’s just a matter of who we’ll be around with the whole time.

I only wear my Rolex watches in places I know to be relatively safe from personal experience. So any new place I go to will be with a cheap watch. I can't see myself walking about like a tourist in unknown cities with a Rolex on the wrist. It would make me nervous and I wouldn't enjoy the visit to the fullest.

Even where I live, there are places I'd never go to wearing an expensive piece. The police regularly issues warnings of pickpockets in touristic places and public transports. I'd be crazy to flash a Rolex there. Maybe as a social experiment, just to know how long it takes to be assaulted or robbed :chucke:.

Buongiorno! My favorite place on earth! I hope to be back soon on the patio of the Villa d'Este with a morning cappuccino very soon.

I'm usually more focused on making sure my attire is up to the Italian standard when I'm in country. Perhaps my normal traveling GMT and throw in a Panerai for mood.

What are the chances of getting a stainless steel OP36/41 in Turquoise/Yellow/Green in Italy?
