16600 vs 16610 - same case dimensions?

I understand the dial, crystal and caseback are different between these. And of course the SD has the helium escape valve. But are the cases themselves actually the same blank to start with? If not, are they measurably different in some external dimension?

Thanks!

The 16600 case is noticeably thicker than the 16610. As far as the other dimensions I believe it’s close.

The 16600 is slightly more narrow, as is the 14060, than the 16610. They also both wear a little smaller looking from top down than the 16610. The 16600 is thicker obviously.

What Padi posted above shows them with the same diameter across the bezel, but I’ve seen other publications/posts here list the 14060 and 16600 as 39.5mm. But I can tell you if you look side by side, you’ll see visually the 14060 and 16600 look narrower than the 16610 for whatever reason. Be it reality or perception.

I’ve owned all three of the watches mentioned above. 16600 and 14060 wear and look the best on my wrist. Ultimately I kept the 16600 as it has a date.

The dial on the SD is 1mm smaller than the sub, and the bezel on SD is 1mm wider than the sub but both 40mm. The sub date weighs 135 grams the SD 147 grams, not a huge difference. SD has HEV a slightly thicker case and case back, plus thicker crystal and polished bracelet sides.

That chart had been posted in TRF by 'capote' already in 2016.
