New strap on vintage 6426. Yay or nay?

So I got this strap today from a local guy that makes straps. Thought the colour would go well with the watch.

What’s the opinion of the brains trust?

A nice “summer strap” is my opinion!

Ok great. Thanks guys. It was a bit of a gamble for me. I usually go with the usual brown or black (safe options) I appreciate everyone’s contribution.

I like it, but the Oyster bracelet would be standard. This one's nice for a change rather than a permanent choice.

I like the strap- what material is that? I'm looking for a good source for straps- does your local guy have a website?

I bought a strap from Jack Foster and I do like it, but the leather is a little bit too thick on his straps for my liking. It is so thick it's very difficult to install it on the lugs. Yours looks very nice and thinner.

Any other color options? I think that gray, cordovan or tan might look better. The taupe wouldn't be my first choice with a black dial TBH.

The material is calf leather for this one and the website is https://artisanstraps.com/

I like it. Not normally a fan of Rolex on leather, but that looks a good combo.

And yet another strap. This one makes the black dial pop.

All look good. The first one pictured looks best to me. Straps are great in offering variety.

Thank you all, it is becoming a strap monster. I have the steel bracelet but it’s a bit banged up.

I get straps from a supplier I have become well with. He has a good eye for things like that so all I do is send him a photo and tell him to send me a strap. He chooses it and hand makes it.
