Watch Shopping Scottsdale AZ
Going to Scottsdale for a day or two and wanted to do a little watch shopping.
Looking for Rolex, IWC, Omega. Maybe vintage also. Where do you recommend I go? |

I live there (here?)
Hyde Park at Fashion Square Mall. 7014 East Camelback Road, just about the NW corner of Scottsdale Road and Camelback. Access off the north side of Camelback. They carry: Rolex (heh), Tudor, Grand Seiko, G-Shock, Tissot, TAG. Directly cross from them in the mall is: Breitling, Hublot, and IWC. (Hyde Park also owns those three stores.) Those three are actually "interconnected" as you can migrate between them without going out into the mall. But I did, in order to avoid the Hublot store. Big turn off for me. Across and west slightly from those is the Omega store. (Be careful not to miss the entrance.) Down at the west end of that same floor is Cartier. Hyde Park is just upstairs <escalator> at the west end of the Food Court, so it is easy to find. Hyde Park's sales staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable. Matthew McDonald for Rolex, Terri Hammer for everything else. At the Omega store, Trent Manry is the Omega expert, very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. (Hyde Park recently moved to the Fashion Square from the Biltmore, so don't go to 24th street and Camelback looking for that old location.) All the watches mentioned are plenty in stock except for the gratuitous "we don't have Rolex" song and dance. Stay AWAY from HAMRA Jewelers, way off to the north on Scottsdale Road.

Hyde Park as mentioned above with good detail.
Robert C Wesley is another AD right in the heart of old town Scottsdale. Rolex only. Virtually no Rolex stock these days at either AD. Another grey dealer is Oliver Smith, on Scottsdale and Doubletree Roads. And yes, I completely agree to stay away from Hamra. They are a Patek dealer, however, but very unpleasant to visit. |

Hamra doesn’t have any Rolex’s anyways. I must have gotten lucky with them though, I bought my BLNR from them in 2015 and it was my first purchase with them. They did however get VERY snooty quickly when I said the Patek they should me was “nice watch”, I was told “it’s a time piece”.
