It's been many years, of multiple watches, and it's a big change. Kind of like when the kids grow up and move out. You appreciate the quiet, but something's missing.

Um, it's a "Rolex and Tudor watch topics" forum, my friend.

I was much more satisfied when I had only 1 watch.

Now the hunger is unbearable.

Good for you. I'm an enthusiast of many things and have been on many forums over the years, but I'm not a collector. Some people don't understand the two can coexist. I love wearing the same watch daily.

Sounds like you found your happy place in the watch game (for now).
I love the idea but don’t think I could do it.

I've tried to pare my collection down to just one piece, but I always keep "inventing" scenarios that I would need another watch for in order to justify keeping more than one piece. I'm my own worst enemy!!!

There isn't such a thing as a one watch guy. there's only a one watch at a time guy.

If I was forced to have just one watch for the rest of my life it would be a sub. but I don't think anyone should be without a sub...

then there's the times you need to send it away for service. You'll need a backup so I would say 1 + 1 can still be considered as a one watch collection.

I wear my watches and am not a collector so i used to be a one watch at a time guy but another benefit of having more than one watch simultansously is that when you get a little tired of the same watch everyday, switching for a while renews the appreciation again.

I've thought about selling everything but one. It must be liberating in a way, cutting the cord. However, I get so much pleasure out of wearing my pieces it'd be like a self inflicted wound. There's no need for that. I intend to enjoy what I've got for as long as I can.
