Off She Goes

I wear my 41 Sub daily and only remove when i go to bed. Purchased new from my local AD a few months back. Has always kept awesome time, but today I noticed Date was still on 4. I can manually turn the crown and advance the date wheel fine, but can't get date to change by moving hour hand. I know there are probably many threads on this type of topic and I did not attempt to change the date between 10&12. Just left AD an hour ago and he was baffled that the date wheel could be advanced by turning the crown, but would not advance by moving hands. Im just disappointed to have to send watch off for 4-6 weeks and probably should have bought the "no date" Sub since I obviously don't pay much attention to it

Sorry to hear, but that’s what the warranty is for. Rolex is not perfect, you can see that by looking at other threads. Too bad you have to wait for it, see if your dealer has a loaner watch.

I look at my date several times a day- I’d be lost without it. So far, I’m not old enough yet to have to have the day on the dial!

Don’t hit yourself in the head over Rolex movement glitch - you had no way to know in advance that it would experience some issues.

Never heard of this symptom - but clearly something’s jammed-up.

Sounds like an uncommon issue but hopefully an easy fix by RSC. Hoping for a speedy resolution for you

A bummer to hear that you're already having a problem.

Got the call from AD this morning that my watch was finally back from Warranty Repair. Took a bit longer than the 3 weeks I was quoted, but watch is now back on my wrist. AD did advise priority is given to newer watches in for Warranty repairs but said they are running 8-12 weeks out currently. This is the document i received for repair so not actually sure exactly what the cause was. Just glad its back in action

Weird I think. My BLRO went in to the RSC due to it losing time erratically. Came back working great but zero notes with it as to what they did.

what is really strange is it use to flip the date wheel precisely at 12:13 am prior to issue. Now it changes exactly at 12:00 and some seconds as I have monitored it the past 2 nights

Not strange at all. The hands and dial are removed to get to the works and when they were reinstalled, the tech did a better job of lining up the minute hand with the date change.

Only when it's under warranty.

I trust your issue will be rectified to your satisfaction. It’s issues like this that get Rolex, or any manufacturer to improve their product.
