Rolex Day Date 18038 president bracelet half links

Hi,

Is there such a thing as a half link for the yellow gold president bracelet?

I can't get mine to fit right and a half link would solve it but can't find a half link.

Many thanks for any help.

James

I understand there is a 1.25 link available for President bracelets, but not a half link.

Thanks.

I’ve read up on those but haven’t been able to find any online yet.

I'd contact Rolex and see what they can do. They still provide links for vintage President bracelets.

Even regular vintage President links in decent condition are hard to find on the open market. Most are stretched/worn from parted-out bracelets and won't match the current bracelet.

Finding irregularly sized ones will be a significant challenge.

President bracelets can be a pain. Either they fit or they don't. I spent years trying to get my non-adjustable hidden-clasp WG President to fit properly, including losing a bunch of weight just for that purpose .

Rolex Day Date 18038 president bracelet half links

Those have to be had from an AD, really the only way. It is rare to see one in the wild unless it’s aftermarket.
A 1.25 link will run you just under $600. Feel lucky that it’s an older hollow link President bracelet, a solid 1.25 link for the newer day/dates are over $1000.

Thanks. Will speak to my local AD today.

To be honest I would even use an aftermarket link if I could as the watch is unwearable as it is. Can’t find an aftermarket one either.

I had the same problem with my 1803. A local watch dealer had extra links do I met him at a watchmakers shop and had one link added. It made all the difference in the world!

I don’t know if an 1803 link would fit your bracelet but if so, I know how had a few extra.

I have spare links but I need a different size link to get the right adjustment.

Just been to my local AD who were clueless but will call the service centre to ask...

Nah, don't go aftermarket. Do it properly, now that you've come this far to own such a beautiful watch - you'll be glad you did.

Wear it on a nice leather strap or a classy croc until you can get the bracelet sorted out. Or just lay off the pies for a month.

And every thread needs a photo... #ahem

I got my 1803 with the hidden-clasp bracelet about seven years ago and it's never really been comfortable, although the awesomeness makes up for it.

For me it's not a question of getting extra links. It's always either too loose or too tight depending on temperature, time of day and my pizza consumption. Sometimes it's loose enough to roll around my wrist, and sometimes it's tight AF.

Next time I'd go for the clasp bracelet with the adjustment holes. It's crazy how much your wrist size changes with various conditions.

Also interested on where to buy the 1.25 link for my 36 MM WG Daydate. Understand part number is 32-22462 but haven’t found where to buy it
