Tudor 925 Polishing

Dear Member,

I was hoping you can help me..
I recently purchased a preowned Tudor 925 Silver Bay, and it came with a couple of dings and scratches.

I would be grateful if someone can guide me to a watchcase polishing service besides the RSC..

I heard that there are some ridiculously meticulous and amazing polishers out there...

Beat wishes

I don’t have any suggestion on the original question, but I would say those marks are so minor that I would leave them alone.

You will pick up many more over the next few years before a regular service overhaul. At that time , the RSC will make it look new.

I'm going to say that despite what Tudor says, the sterling at issue will eventually tarnish like regular silver. Although allegedly tarnish-resistant, I'd imagine people would buy this version of they wanted to cultivate a slightly tarnished look -- kind of like bronze cases, etc.

The only time watches need any sort of polishing is at normal routine service only, the sure way to ruin any watch is wanting to polish every time you see the slightest ding or scratch. Silver is a very resilient metal just look at all the antique silver in this world today many hundreds of years old.

I would never polish a tool watch such as this. Especially if it is precious metals. It's yours and you're free to do whatever you want though.
