Congrats, stunning piece.

Indeed, red pigment first on the whole bezel, then blue pigment on one half:

I don't know why they do it like this, instead of half red half blue.

Thank you for that link. And thank you Scott for that photo. Both excellent. And thanks all for your kind words.

So far as I know, it's the transition/overlap of the colours that is critical. Rolex didn't want any gaps and went to considerable lengths to come up with the best solution both for production repeatability and aesthetic coherence. I think there's a WF video which talks about the pros and cons with reference to the BLRO and they show some close ups of how the colours blend at the margin, which the brain glosses over.

With apologies for the poor quality, here is my effort with a hand held phone camera:

Come to think of it, this also explains why the brown can sometimes appear to bleed into the black on the CHNR bezel.

Cool. Is that first pic under a black light?

Congrats on such a great watch. I remember you were waiting for it.

I have it on jubilee and it is in my top 3 Rolexes.

Thanks for sharing the ''my AD said''. It seems it is not easy to be an SA dealing with such e-mails/phone calls.

UV. Which I believe is also black light? A one second burst will charge the lumes up a treat.

Thank you. Oyster was my favourite and I still can't believe I've managed it. If it was only available on Jubilee I would have been lusting after it just the same. It's good to have the choice.

I couldn't man a counter. It's harder than it looks. I haven't got what it takes.
