Called the AD today about my order. She had "good news"

I called My AD today for my DJ that I ordered that had an 8 weeks back ordered from Rolex. Today has officially been three weeks into the wait. She called me back telling me she had good news, Rolex NY anticipates having the watch in two weeks and she says could be sooner but their saying two weeks to give themselves extra time to be safe. I would have loved it if she would have told me It's on its way but hey I guess 5 weeks wait is better than 8 weeks wait. I'll keep you all posted.

Wonderful news for you. I know when I have to wait that I usually whip myself into a frenzy of excitement and anxiety and it makes the anticipation even stronger.

I will definately post PLENTY of pics for all of you to see my new watch.

I see the rumors of the price increase have become more standard on the board and im guessing it will be for this first week in oct (I wont have watch yet or dont think rolex would have invoiced it yet) I know most of you think I shouldnt pay price hike since i went into an agreement. But I think I will probably have to anyways. I will try not to but we'll see..

Question is, is the price increase just for the LV and daytona like I saw on another thread something about 12% or is it going to be across the board for all SS models?

Healthy, eh? Don't like the sound of that! But I don't plan to buy from an AD anyway, so I guess its like my house - every time somone buys a house in my neighborhood for several hundred thousand dollars more than the house cost before, the value of MY house goes up!

Yes, I know. The taxes do too. But its worth it!

Many around here say the price increase will be 15 to 20 percent. But I think a lot of that is just the store trying to push an imediate sale.

I will just have to wait and see. But as Rolex prices go up, I would have to imagine that more dealers will start to discount. BB said they would give 5% off and I did not even ask. It used to be, not a chance.

According to my AD, it will be around 8% on pretty much everything. But... I was also told that the 16610 will be up to $5100..

FWIW, who really knows. I had asked my AD if they knew anything about the increase, and they said they would check. She called me back and said that her sources told her that it would be 8% and sometime in Oct.

Seth, as recently as today I was told the increase is very close, and that that figure is right in line. FWIW.
