Have you brought your AP into service?

Curious about the reliability of AP. I’ve seen some threads about some mechanical issues that I’m a bit surprised about.

If you own an AP, can you state whether you’ve brought your AP into service for an issue within the first 5 years of ownership?

I haven't yet but I need to send my Diver in. It appears some water may have somehow gotten under the sapphire. Either that or I can't seem to get the exterior water spots out.

No service, but I've contacted AP Clearwater a few times (quoted a bracelet and bought a 1.5 link) and they were great to deal with

I had an Offshore chrono from around 2016 that needed 3 visits within the first year. I've owned several APs since then and never had any other experiences even close. Not sure if you're going to get a decent read on overall reliability from this poll.

I will say though if you want the best reliability in the "luxury" market, just stick with Rolex.

I had a rose gold offshore from new bought at an AD, the watch was perfect right up until the 5 year mark when the accuracy became very poor. I sent the watch to AP and it came back perfect.

Superb service from AP service center. Would highly recommend for folks to send in timepieces.

i did have to send mine in for a service last year, after about 2-2.5yrs of literally daily use since i got it in 2018. obviously not thrilled i had a strange issue with the watch stopping at random, but they took care of it pretty quickly, much faster than they had quoted me for (and for free obviously since it’s still under warranty) so all in all i’d say it was a good experience due to how well they handled it for me.

The Rotor on my 1.5 year old 15500 seems to not be efficient in winding the main spring as getting 1-2 days max power reserve after a long wear. Other day only last about 3 hours after 2 days of wear. So looking to bring it in for warranty service next time I visit AP.

I have 3 Royal Oaks. 2 are perfectly fine, but my 15400 had movement problems twice within a span of one year. Now that it has had a movement replacement it seems fine.
