SkyDweller

Hey. Need some advice.

I own the 326939 in Ivory dial. I’m going to bring it in for service, and I have the option to change it to a black dial. Cost is $2106 CDN plus servicing (another $~1250 for SkyD)….. worth it? What do you guys think?

Yes! But I’d prefer sticks rather than Arabic numerals

There is also the option to change the dial to sticks instead of numerals.

Alan if it were up to me I'd see if you could swap to the unicorn of all unicorns, Blue stick dial!!!

Rolex did offer a blue dial in the WG SkyD for a very brief time. Seen like 1-2 max ever but it was a option not a custom job. My daily is a PM SkyD, 326935, so no matter what you have an awesome watch.

if you want a black dial sky dweller, then by all means, go for it. not sure how anyone else would be able to help you decide which you'd prefer. personally, i think the white dial is much nicer, but that's me.

good luck.

The new skydweller is intense white not ivory, I would keep it as it looks great.

If the blue dial isn't available for swap, it's better to keep what you have, I think it looks great.

The ivory dial is my favourite! I was not able to get it on time and nowadays you may not find a NOS one. I believe, changing the dial would be a mistake!

With this dial keep in mind the original rendered images suggested a sunburst effect, it is not sunburst but matte black!!

Do not change to sticks. Sticks is the stainless.

Now you’re on the right track

Not sure if Rolex would do it because if so I’d imagine there would be some floating out there and I don’t see any. Can’t hurt to ask. If no then I’d swap to something solid and with sticks. Always thought the white GMT function stood out too much if you steer away from white.

That would be my preference. The white 24h disk would go very well with a black stick dial to my eyes.

But what can you say about a Sky Dweller and a PM one at that? It's a Sky Dweller. It will look fantastic in any configuration. Your choice.

Thanks everyone for their advice.

Spoke with RSC… blue dial is only for new watches and can’t be a service dial. They locked that one down lol.

The sticks would make it look too much like a S/S SkyD….

Going in for the spa treatment, but keeping it Ivory. Anyone know the price for full service? RSC reception said between 1000-1500 CDN.

Well that’s a bummer on the blue dial news but kinda what I figured. Good choice on sticking with the Ivory dial. Keeping the colors uniform. Also I interested in service costs. Both of mine have the new card so hopefully I have a while before I need a service

I'd keep the Ivory dial, but ultimately it's what you prefer.

I prefer the white dial. The only other dial I would choose would be blue.

Keep it as it is. Pretty rare and Romans on a SkyD is a PM Privilege
